Context
An international FMCG corporation needed an interactive activation to provide an immersive tour of their production facility. The virtual tour, featured their complete production pipeline-from raw material processing to packaging and distribution.
Requirement
The project required a standalone VR and mobile AR, multi-lingual virtual tour designed for quick viewing. My role as an immersive designer comprised creating intuitive user journeys, interaction patterns, visual design, coordinating with 3D Art, XR Development teams and translating and localized narration.
Solution
For quick and efficient viewing user on-boarding was minimized by eliminating the learning curve for non-technical or first-time users where, complex interaction patterns were minimized while focusing on foundational xr interactions.
Users would journey through the facility starting from 3d view of the complex and traveling through each location via narrated 360° video-allowing user freedom within the guided tour.
The experience accommodated standing and seated experience across both platforms.
Matching the corporation’s iconic brand colors with the environment and tailored UI elements, helped connect the viewers with the brand they loved.
A voice AI model with regional voice profiles was utilized for multilingual translations and localizing audio narrations with dialectal accuracy.
Outcome
Rigorous cross-functional alignment, along with the superior creative and technical capabilities of the team, improved communication of designs decisions and development requirements-demonstrating value across multiple teams as a key collaborator, bridging technical and creative alignment gaps.
